GED Full Job Description Essential Functions:
Processes applications, transcripts, and other credentials. Evaluate transcripts and enter information into Slate. Assign admission decision letters and follow up correspondence. Update student records and verify the accuracy of data in the system. Provide information to students, parents and counselors on admissions procedures and academic requirements. Follow up with students regarding the status of their application. Request missing credentials needed to complete students' admissions files. Generate reports from the student database and distribute them to colleagues. Assist at Admissions recruitment events and visit days, and perform other functions as needed.Additional Position Information:
Required Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma. Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in admissions, student services, registrar, financial aid or other high school, college or university setting or professional office. Strong communication and customer service skills required. Basic computer skills including spreadsheet, database and word processing capabilities required. Ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds required.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of university procedures, policies and administrative structure preferred. Some college level coursework preferred.Compensation:
This is a Union position with a salary Grade of 109. Salary determination is subject to the (SBU) Collective Bargaining Agreement. Starting salary $16.32 hourly.Application Instructions:
