Job Description

Job Responsibility:
Under the direct supervision of the Director and oversight of the Administrative Judge, coordinates all financial accounting for the facility, including the overseeing of human resource functions. Responsible for insuring grant compliance with the Department of Youth Services and all county accounting policy, procedures, and principals are adhered to.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for all Department of Youth Services budget requests, quarterly reports, and year end reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers of all facility expenses.
  • Responsible for reconciling monthly and yearly account expenditures with the Wood County Auditor's report.
  • Responsible for the facilities payroll worksheets, employee attendance records, and monthly Wood County health insurance reports.
  • Completes Purchase Orders for all facility purchases.
  • Prepares all warrants and schedules for the payment of facility invoices.
  • Assists in the preparation of the facility inventory.
  • Assists the Director in human resource and personnel matters.
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings of the Governing Board of Judges.
  • Upholds standards of professionalism while representing the facility and demonstrating positive leadership and role modeling while fulfilling assigned duties.
  • Participates in the development of policies, procedures, goals and objectives for the facility.
  • Maintains a current working knowledge of Juvenile Residential Center policy, procedure, and practices.
  • Upholds all policies, procedures and practice of the facility's zero tolerance toward all forms of sexual abuse and sexual harassment,
  • Attends all mandatory training and staff meetings.
  • Assists with programming, security, and other duties as assigned.
  • Follows and abides by all applicable American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, or a related field. Experience related to the financial matters of the juvenile or criminal justice systems and familiarity with grant funding is preferred.

Pay:
$65,000.00
