Student WorkersAthletics Game Management SQ Fitness Center Morrill Fitness Center Summary:
The Athletics Department is seeking enthusiastic and reliable student workers to assist in supporting the daily operations, events, and activities within the department. This position provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while contributing to the success of our athletic programs.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Game Management:
This position will assist with various gameday operational positions at home athletic events. Positions include game presentation roles (music, video board, scoreboard, PA, etc.), implementing in-game promotions, sideline ball helpers, setup and teardown of events, as well as other duties as needed.
SQ/Morrill Fitness Center:
This position serves as the primary customer service representative for the Simpson-Querrey Fitness Center and/or Morrill Strength & Conditioning Room and is responsible for: Greeting and welcoming members/guests with a smile and friendly attitude.

Upholding, enforcing and clearly communicating rules and regulations of fitness center. Performing duties at desks; including, but not limited to checking IDs to ensure proper patron access to facility, rental of recreational equipment, and maintaining user counts. Monitoring, organizing and cleaning the fitness center (including workspace); maintaining a presentable environment for users. Performing laundry of towels, as well as re-filling equipment cleaning bottles. Attending any required meetings or training sessions. Regular attendance of assigned shifts.
Additional Responsibilities:
Event Support:
Assist with game-day operations, including setup and teardown of equipment, ticketing, concessions, and crowd management.
Customer Service:
Greet and assist guests, athletes, and staff, providing information and addressing inquiries professionally. Help maintain athletic facilities, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for practices, games, and events.
Equipment Management:
Organize and distribute athletic gear, maintain inventory, and assist in equipment upkeep.
Marketing and Promotions:
Support the promotion of athletic events through social media, flyer distribution, and event signage.
Other Duties:
Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support the departments operations. Any previous experience working athletic events is preferred, but not required. Must be dependable, and be able to work nights and weekends.

Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.

Other tasks as assigned.
