The Institute of Technology, a private employee-owned career college located in Salem, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Admissions Representative. This position may lead to advancement as Associate Director of Admissions. The admissions representative will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, managing sales functions, and completing various clerical tasks for the college. This role involves meeting or exceeding admissions goals, maintaining the school database, and providing accurate information to prospective students, along with performing related duties as needed. Candidates must possess outstanding customer service skills and enjoy working with the public. The role requires completing assignments in accordance with established recruitment cycles, the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and proficiency in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Additionally, the candidate must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively, and establish and maintain positive working relationships.

Under direct supervision of the Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions or Campus President, the Admissions Representative is expected to: Give honest and precise information to prospective students. In order to do that, the Admissions Representative must: Understand the school catalog and curriculum Know the schools rules, policies, and procedures Be willing to refer the student to the appropriate department (i.e., financial aid) Give campus tours Meet or exceed the department metrics. Some of the ways to do that are: Follow contact strategy Follow up on all leads; Follow up on all interested clients who must wait to attend or cancel for any reason Admissions Representatives are expected to enhance the marketing/advertising budget, not solely rely on it by personally developing leads. Maintain the admissions database as required. Prepare, and obtain signatures from prospective students, on all admissions documents. Monitor new student attendance for the first two weeks of class. Follow up with new students to ensure their comfort with their choice of institutions. Contribute to the department ideas for marketing, promotions or advertisements. Attend staff meetings, in-service sessions, student orientation, graduation, and other school events as required by the school. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
College degree in marketing, business or related area preferred OR have a minimum of 2-years customer service experience and/or administrative support position, recruiting or sales; or any relevant combination of education and experience as determined by the Campus President.
