Job Description
Job Summary The Dean of Students/Climate Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and engaging educational environment within the school. This leadership position is responsible for enhancing student engagement, managing student behavior, and ensuring the overall well-being of students. The Dean/Climate Manager will collaborate with classroom teachers, teacher assistants, and the administration to develop programs and policies that promote academic success, behavior success, and personal growth. Duties Supervise and oversee the High School and Middle School floor. Collaborate with Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Administrators to discuss best practices for de-escalating student behavior. Collaborate with all students to build rapport and to assist all students with their social and emotional needs. Manage behavioral situations involving students, providing guidance and support as needed. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and administration to address concerns and improve the overall educational experience. Collaborate with each child's parents and guardians to discuss strengths and needs. Collaborate with each child's parents to enhance attendance. Requirements Strong background in managing student behavior. Ability to communicate effectively with others and hold meetings to ensure policies are in place. Support the Teachers and Teacher Assistants to enhance student learning outcomes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students and parents/guardians. A commitment to fostering a positive school culture that supports all students. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education and a enhancing the lives of the students.
