Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Program Support Manager, students in this position are expected to support the Alumni Engagement team in a variety of projects related to alumni relations and event management. Projects include data entry, updating event registrations, record keeping, and managing the myriad messages in the alumni email inbox and answering phones. Project Assistants serve as the front line point of contact when answering phones and monitoring the shared inbox so you will be working with a broad range of constituents including parents, alumni, College officials, other student office assistants and confidential files. Work closely with the Program Support Manager to organize and maintain office electronic archives including updating procedures so other student staff and Alumni Engagement staff members can efficiently complete tasks. Collaborate with multiple members of the Alumni Engagement team and be able to take direction from them on various projects as assigned, and report back on results in a timely fashion. Expected to work in person in the office for most shifts, with the occasional opportunity for working on-campus events sponsored by the Alumni Engagement team. Remote work from campus will be offered at the discretion of the Program Support Manager. Must sign a confidentiality agreement and complete PCI Compliance training. This is a Middlebury student Level B position paying $14.95 per hour. Requirements Adherence to our confidentiality policy is a must - includes signing a confidentiality agreement and completing Data Security and PCI Compliance training Proficient with MS Office applications, especially Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel Experience with CRM software helpful, but not required Experience with G Suite applications including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms Familiarity with video conferencing software, such as Zoom. Creative, resourceful, thoughtful, and proactive Strong leadership skills and a desire to take initiative preferred Experience in a customer service or professional office setting is a plus Solid professional written and verbal communication skills required to effectively interact internally with staff, and with external constituents Must demonstrate a strong commitment and a high level of reliability Must be well organized, detail oriented, articulate, and able to multi-task Able to work independently and as part of a team Broad based knowledge of campus and its departments to answer and direct inquiries Flexible schedule preferred.
