We provide forensic interviews, advocacy and trauma-focused therapy to young survivors and their non-offending family members. From a child's first connection with CAC, our goal is to help the child process trauma, build resiliency and live a safer, healthier life. All our services are free and offered in English and Spanish. Since 1989, we have helped over 19,000 children and families.
Position Summary:
The Development Coordinator plays a key role in CAC's fundraising and donor engagement efforts. Working closely with the Director of Development as part of a small, collaborative development team, this position supports the organization's annual revenue goals through strong donor data management, accurate gift processing, effective stewardship, supporting the young professional group and expanded donor engagement opportunities. This role is integral to growing CAC's monthly giving program, strengthening corporate partnerships and supporting the overall development strategy through consistent donor relations and community engagement. This is a hybrid position, with required in-office work on Mondays and Wednesdays at CAC's Hoffman Estates office. General hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Donor Database Management & Gift Processing Perform regular data audits, updates and clean-up to maintain data integrity. Generate donor lists and segmentation reports for appeals, events and stewardship efforts. Process all incoming gifts, ensuring accurate and timely entry, reconciliation and reporting. Donor Stewardship & Engagement Implement and execute donor stewardship plan, ensuring all donors receive timely and meaningful acknowledgments. Coordinate the creation and distribution of donor receipts and personalized thank you communications. Plan and execute stewardship touchpoints, including impact reports, donor appreciation and ongoing communication. Collaborate with the Director of Development to create and maintain a donor portfolio, assisting in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship efforts. Collaborate with the Development Team to develop the materials needed to support fundraising and engagement efforts. Monthly Giving Program and Corporate Partnerships Develop and implement strategies to grow the monthly giving program, including recruitment and retention efforts. Identify and cultivate corporate partnerships. Junior Board (Young Professionals Group) Serve as staff liaison to the Junior board, supporting recruitment and engagement efforts. Provide direction to align the groups' initiatives with CAC's mission and fundraising priorities. Attend meetings and maintain consistent communication with members. Provide support, including tracking financials and logistics as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; with 2+ years of related experience. Experience in fundraising and project management for high-visibility activities is preferred. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and report on data. Database experience preferred (Bloomerang and FreeWill). Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with little supervision.
