Hybrid; Requires regular travel to various locations state-wide. Participation in the on-call rotation and after-hours response may be required in addition to working unstaffed billable hours on an as-required basis. Position Summary The Director of Residential Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of Creative Foundations' Residential (Homemaker Personal Care/HPC) programs. The Director serves as a key member of the leadership team, fostering collaboration across departments to ensure consistent, person-centered care and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Oversight Provide effective management, direct oversight, ongoing coaching, and evaluation of the Supportive Living/Residential department, including but not limited to Supportive Living Coordinator (SLCs). When a Supportive Living Coordinator (SLC) is unavailable, the Director will provide or arrange for continuous operational coverage and oversite of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) as needed to ensure continuity of care for the assigned caseload(s). Model professional, ethical, and person-centered behavior in all interactions with staff, individuals served, guardians, and community partners. Participate in organization-wide leadership initiatives and contribute to strategic planning efforts. Work collaboratively across departments to develop, align, and advance organization-wide compliance strategies and practices. Program and Service Management Ensure Creative Foundations is appropriately represented at new client interviews, ISP and special team meetings, and county board provider meetings. Maintain professional connections and visibility with County Board personnel, both as they pertain to current business and new business opportunities, investigations, and opportunities for networking. Maintain on-call status and be available to respond to emergencies, as needed. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and agency standards prior to transmission to Primary Solutions. Oversee sites served on a rotational basis via in-person site visits, facetime/Teams check-ins, and support of staff meetings. Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure staff comply with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and confidentiality requirements. Monitor, support reporting procedures, and ensure timely follow-up of Unusual Incidents (UIs) and Major Unusual Incidents (MUIs) in accordance with regulations and CF policy. Participate in and support the agency's quality assurance and service delivery oversight processes. Stay informed on changes in laws, rules, and trends impacting residential services. Collaboration and Communication Facilitate effective communication among county boards, interdisciplinary team members, families, and service professionals. Coordinate with internal departments including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Adult Day Services, and Compliance to ensure comprehensive, high-quality support for individuals served. Conduct or coordinate staff trainings on assigned subjects to ensure team preparedness and compliance. Conduct weekly department meetings to align expectations and foster teamwork. Support daily and weekly PAWS and billing initiatives. Coordinate with the Clinical Services Supervisor to monitor medication administration, promoting accuracy, safety, and compliance with all applicable standards. In the absence of a Clinical Services Supervisor, the Director will oversee medication management and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure no lapse in compliance occurs. Personnel Management and Development Initiate and participate in the disciplinary process as required, ensuring fairness and consistency. Provide leadership development and mentorship for Supportive Living Coordinators and other team members. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the department. Other Duties Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director to advance Creative Foundations' mission and goals. Qualifications Must meet minimum qualifications for employment as outlined on the employment application. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the developmental disabilities or human services field, with at least three (3) years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Strong understanding of DODD rules, HIPAA regulations, and quality assurance practices. Proven ability to lead with integrity, motivate team members, and develop diverse teams. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, via text and/or email). Exceptional problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and keen sense of organization. Ability to handle crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure. Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required. At minimum, must hold an active and notation-free Medication Certification Level 1 through DODD and, as caseloads require, be prepared to become certified and delegated for Level 2 or 3 certification.Similar jobs in Delaware, OH
