Job Summary:
The Manager for the Institute for Healthcare Quality, Safety and Efficiency (IHQSE) will work closely with the Director to develop and implement the IHQSE's strategic, financial, and programmatic plans. IHQSE is a partnership between the University of Colorado School of Medicine, the University of Colorado College of Nursing, CU Medicine, Children's Hospital Colorado, and the University of Colorado Hospital. IHQSE's mission is to create healthcare systems that ensure every patient receives the highest quality of care while avoiding harm, minimizing inefficiencies, and developing local and national leaders in quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Manage the program coordinator responsible for the educational portfolio and programs within IHQSE. Develop and manage the IHQSE Budget. Analyze and forecast financial performance and communicate performance to key stakeholders. Supervise all IHQSE personnel. Assist the Director in managing the faculty and coaches within IHQSE. Develop a performance tracking system for improvement work done within IHQSE. Develop and lead IHQSE's communication. Work with the Director to set and achieve strategic goals.Work Location:
Hybrid- This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Five or more (5+) years' experience with project and/or program management. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
Masters-level degree. 1+ years management experience. 3+ years' experience preparing budgets, performing financial analysis and managing a program/business. Experience managing educational programs. Experience managing personnel. Experience analyzing clinical data in support of quality and safety improvement efforts. Experience in website design and critical writing skills. Familiar with CU Systems (Concur/Marketplace). Experience with strategic planning and implementation. Experience in an Academic Medical Center. Experience building a marketing and communication plan. Experience with event planning. Experience with business operations. Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Highly skilled in written and verbal communication.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Programmatic Leadership Oversee IHQSE educational programs, ensuring that the programs comply with the rules and regulations of the School of Medicine (SOM), University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), and Children's Hospital of Colorado (CHCO) and other regional/national organizations. Prepare business analyses and implementation plans for new programs and design and implement changes to existing programs. Develop and direct a program for outreach and recruitment both on campus and nationally. Oversee programmatic growth and develop (with Director and faculty) new educational offerings. Develop, manage, track, analyze, and refine current and future IHQSE. training programs by serving as a strategic partner with the IHQSE Director Oversee evaluation systems for all IHQSE training programs. Manage the program coordinator with oversight of the educational programs. Represent the IHQSE and act on behalf of the Director in internal and external meetings and functions. Financial & Operations Management Direct oversight and ownership of the IHQSE budget. Analyze financial performance and prepare financial reports for IHQSE Director. Manage any required payment transfers with external parties as needed. Work directly with SOM finance leadership to support any necessary funding reconciliations and record-keeping related to the support of IHQSE faculty. Direct the day-to-day operations of IHQSE. Supervise the IHQSE program coordinator, communications manager, and CEPS grant manager. Work with the Director to develop, refine, and achieve strategic goals. Performance Tracking System Maintain a complete archive of current and completed IHQSE projects and update at least 2-4 times yearly. Create an outcome tracking system that tallies the clinical quality, safety, experience, and financial benefit of all IHQSE projects completed at UCH. Develop and direct a program for systematically sharing results to build external interest in the program. Communications & Marketing Create and direct the IHQSE marketing plan. Create and direct a regional and national participant recruitment program. Event management and participation in local, regional, and national symposia. Develop and oversee the IHQSE alumni outreach program to include alumni functions. How toApply:

The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $73,491 to $93,481. The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
