Job Description
Under the general direction of the Director of Student Affairs, and with guidance from the Pathway director, the Pathways Coordinator role supports student success, supports college and program sustainability, and strategically grows enrollment to ensure long-term impact and future success of each CHS-NW program. This role coordinates the college-specific, faculty-driven, and accreditation-related activities that support student recruitment, admissions, pathway development, onboarding, retention, and progression. Working in close collaboration with WesternU Admissions and Recruitment, the position serves as the primary liaison between CHS-NW academic programs and university enrollment functions, ensuring that program-specific requirements, messaging, partnerships, and student success initiatives are effectively implemented and effectively communicated WesternU's Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The Pathways Coordinator also supports the design and implementation of comprehensive retention strategies that promote student success at every stage of their health care education journey. This position reports directly to the CHS-NW Director of Student Affairs and indirectly to the CHS-NW Pathway Director. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The Pathways Coordinator must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Knowledge in the use of relational databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing; experience with packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that resonate across all generations; demonstrate skills in diplomacy, team building, and connecting people to a common vision. Ability to present complex information easily and accurately. Ability to effectively interact with people in internal and external institutions and departments; Highly proficient in applying technology to work processes. Strong technology skills and excellent record-keeping required. Ability to effectively market CHS-NW programs to college-age populations through strategic use of social media, formal and informal presentations, and relationship-building initiatives. Demonstrates ability to adapt effectively in a fast-changing environment, responding proactively to evolving demands and priorities; recognizes and implements strategies to responsibly use artificial general intelligence to assist CHS-NW leadership, administration, and faculty in supporting learners throughout the full student pathway. Availability to perform job duties outside of regular business hours when operational demands require. Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.

Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, enrollment management, student services, recruitment, higher education administration, healthcare education, or a closely related field.Preferred Qualifications Education:
A master's degree. Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Pathway Director and Director of Student Affairs, and in collaboration with the WesternU Admission, This position coordinates CHS-NW faculty, staff, accreditation, and programmatic responsibilities that support the university-managed admissions and interview process. Including, but not limited to:- Provide feedback in the ongoing assessment and revision of the admissions and interview processes for CHS-NW in collaboration with each program's faculty.
- Oversee the design and revision of applicant evaluation methods, rubrics, interview questions, and workflow, and ensure that information is communicated effectively to WesternU admissions.
- Ensure adherence to unique programmatic accreditation requirements (CAPTE), University policies and procedures in selection of students for each program. Oversee training, scheduling, and communication for all WesternU faculty, staff, students, and community members involved in interviews.
- Ensure that the admissions and interview process follows all accreditation and legal requirements; maintain excellent records of admissions and interview process for regular review by the program's accrediting body. This is an important part of this position, as each program within the college may have a unique accreditor.
- Coordinate CHS-NW faculty decisions on the admissions criteria and process of review on an annual basis.
- Ensure alignment between WesternU, CHS-NW, and Accreditation admissions criteria and student success outcomes, recommending adjustments to selection processes or support mechanisms where needed.
- Consult with the Office of Legal Affairs, Office of Admissions, WesternU Admissions and others as needed to ensure policies and procedures are enacted and interpreted appropriately.
- Follow policies to achieve each accrediting body's approved cohort size in accordance with admission guidelines.
- In collaboration with the Pathway Director, assess program CHS-NW admission policies and procedures annually to ensure compliance with each program's intention, while also incorporating student and faculty feedback.
