Primary responsibilities include the following:
Assist students with college and career navigation to reach their employment goals Respond to student inquiries and communicate BFET eligibility requirements and enrollment procedure Conduct BFET intake sessions, including developing an Individual Employment Plan, determining BFET student eligibility and assessing barriers to education and employment Provide on-going support to BFET students and connect students to on campus support services and community-based organizations that address their individual needs Process and track student applications; create and maintain detailed student information on database management system; authorize and coordinate student support awards by working closely with internal college stakeholders Monitor student eligibility throughDSHS EJAS
system; track student credit amounts each month; check satisfactory academic progress quarterly and work with students to create an action plan that helps facilitate student success Document student progress monthly inDSHS EJAS
system for all program participants Support a diverse student population who may be experiencing challenges including: homelessness, mental health, financial hardship and more Develop and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders Other duties as assigned of a similar level/natureQualifications Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience working in social service or reflated career field.Knowledge Of:
Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and electronic record management systems Challenges encountered by low-income populations Educational programs and student support services BFET, Worker Retraining, Opportunity Grant, and WorkFirst program guidelines and requirements Community-based supports and resourcesSkill In:

Conditions of Employment Physical Work Environment:
The College provides services both online and in-person, and while administrators are primarily assigned to work on-campus, limited remote opportunities may be available based on specific program needs. For authorized remote work, employees are responsible for providing their own workspace and internet access, though the College provides all necessary technical equipment and support. Whether working in a standard office setting or remotely, this position involves sitting for prolonged periods at a computer workstation, utilizing repetitive arm and finger movements, and reading both printed and digital materials. Success in this role involves maintaining confidentiality and productivity in an open office environment characterized by frequent interruptions and competing demands. Additionally, the position requires the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, with the ability to attend meetings both on and off campus while communicating effectively through various professional means.Terms Of Employment/Salary:
This position is allocated to pay range 42, under the Washington State Office of Financial Management higher education salary schedule. Salary placement for new employees is determined by the College. This position works 40 hours per week, with a schedule dependent upon department needs. Hiring of this position is contingent on available funding as determined by the College President. PART-TIME FACULTY POSITIONS A
part time faculty member becomes eligible for benefits at the beginning of the second consecutive quarter of half time or more employment at one or more Washington state institutions of higher education.
