Under the guidance of the Director of Youth and Family Engagement, this position manages group tour experiences, ticketed programs, and educational initiatives. Primary duties include managing school tours, managing program registration, and assisting with the implementation of other departmental programs including but not limited to workshops and family programs. This position is Tuesday through Saturday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional customer service to all education and program constituents. Act as main point of contact to process school tour booking requests and provide information to participants regarding tour content, scheduling, costs, payment processing and policies. Create registration links for programs and workshops and post events to internal calendars and website. Manage registration and rosters for programs and workshops. Coordinate tour and program logistics, including IT support, facility needs, and check-in. Lead public and K-12 tours. Lead workshops and hands-on activities for school groups and family audiences. Analyze data and generate reports as needed to support timely review of tour and program feedback for grant reporting. Perform general maintenance of department supplies and spaces to include classrooms and studios. Update website listings of tours, programs, and other educational offerings on an ongoing basis. Performs other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of relevant work experience required Bachelor's Degree in Arts Education, Education, Art History, Management, or related field or equivalent educational background Enthusiasm for working in an educational environment with children and adults. Must pass a background check prior to employment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule; to include weekends and evening hours as needed. Please note, this position is regularly scheduled to report Tuesday through Saturday.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Ability to implement, coordinate, and complete projects in a timely manner, and to establish priorities and perform work independently. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and relate in a positive manner with all cultures and socioeconomic audiences. Excellent command of English usage, grammar, and spelling, both in verbal and written form. Demonstrated ability to foster trust and work with confidential information. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Efficient in file and data management. Proficient in Microsoft suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preference given to candidates with prior nonprofit software (Blackbaud's Altru) and point of sale system experience. Ability to use AV and standard office equipment, and current PC networking system. Ability to lift weight or exert force on objects up to 35 pounds.Working Environment:
General, temperature-controlled office environment. Some evenings and weekends are required for programs and special events. Some travel to schools in the Charleston Tri-County area might also be required.Background Check:
