Job Purpose Tri-County Technical College invites applications for the position of Dean of the Health Education Division. The Dean will provide visionary leadership, and strategic direction for both credit and non-credit programs in the division. The ideal candidate will be adept at building internal and external relationships, ensuring the relevance and quality of educational programs, and fostering a collaborative environment that supports student success and employee development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Academic Leadership and Administration Collaborate with the Chief Academic Officer and peers to achieve institutional initiatives. Provide leadership and oversight for all programs within the division. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance access and quality of academic offerings. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Work with department heads, program directors, and faculty to develop and review curricula and programs. Manage the academic budget and allocate resources effectively. Programming Identify emerging trends and community needs to create relevant courses and programs. Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of health education programs. Ensure courses and programs meet student needs and align with standards. Promote innovative teaching methods and technology integration in the classroom. Lead the refinement and expansion of course and program offerings to support the College's mission and student success. Establish partnerships with internal partners, local businesses, industries, and community organizations. Monitor and assess program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements. Student Success and Support Develop a learning-centered environment that promotes academic achievement, confidence, and personal growth. Collaborate with student affairs to ensure comprehensive student support, including development, library, advising, tutoring, and career services. Implement initiatives to improve student persistence, retention, graduation rates, transfer, and job placement. Faculty and Staff Development Recruit, hire, and retain qualified faculty and staff. Provide growth, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Conduct performance evaluations and support continuous improvement efforts. Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and excellence. Community Engagement and Partnerships Represent TCTC in the community and build strong relationships with external stakeholders. Participate in community events and serve on relevant boards and committees. Advocate for the college and its programs to enhance visibility and support. A master's degree plus five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership and teaching experience in a learning environment. Appropriate licenses and academic credentials to teach in nursing, medical assisting, medical lab technology, dental assisting, dental hygiene, veterinary technology, surgical technology, emergency medical technology, or physical therapy assisting Experience successfully managing and maintaining program accreditation. Leadership and teaching experience in a community college environment.
