Northern State University is looking for a dynamic leader to lead it's Strength and Conditioning program. The Director will provide leadership to the program and be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, sport-specific programs designed to maximize the physical development, performance, health, and overall student-athlete experience. The Director will work closely with head coaches, sports medicine staff, and other members of the athletics department to create an integrated approach to student-athlete development. The successful candidate will be a strong relationship builder and teacher who understands the Division II student-athlete experience and is committed to developing student-athletes. Northern State University, home to Wolves athletics, sponsors 15 NCAA Division II intercollegiate varsity sports that compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NSIC). The Director of Strength & Conditioning responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leading and developing the strength and conditioning programing for all NSU teams
  • Develop and implement individualized conditioning, strength, speed, and flexibility programs for student-athletes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the continual advancement of training methods and professional development within the field.
  • Budget management
  • Equipment purchasing
  • Hiring and managing graduate assistant coaches
  • Organizing camps and clinics in support of the Strength & Conditioning program
  • Adherence to NSIC and NCAA rules and regulations
  • General administrative duties
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the
