Department BHSU-Academic Affairs Physical Location of Position (City) Spearfish Posting Text Black Hills State University is seeking applicants to fill an Assistant to the Provost position in our Academic Affairs office.DUTIES:
This position serves as the main point of contact for the Office of Academic Affairs, providing assistance to and information for administrators, faculty, students, other BHSU staff, and the public through personal, written, and telephonemunications. The Assistant to the Provost sets office procedures, coordinates workflows, and resolves inquiries and problems for a wide range of people. This position also assists the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Associate Provost, and the Director of Institutional Research while ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently. Specific duties fall within the following areas:- Providing executive-level administrative support on faculty-related projects.
- Providing executiveanizational assistance to the Provost.
- Performing executive budget management.
- Providing executive leadership to manage issues across Academic Affairs.
- Providing essential student-support services. The successful candidate will have the following:
- Evidence of writing, verbal, and quantitative skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage projects across divisions.
- Stronganizational skills and attention to detail.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in administrative office settings.
