This position plays a key role in helping to maintain student success networks across all SDSU campus locations. This position will help provide case management, referral to on and off campus resources, training related to identifying issues of concern while providing a safe space for students in satellite locations to navigate interpersonal conflict, academic difficulties and/or personal issues that may have a negative impact on their student experience. This position is located in Rapid City, South Dakota and is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. The Division of Student Affairs at SDSU enriches the students' overall educational experience through the delivery of quality services and programs as well as providing intentional learning experiences in global awareness, leadership, and social responsibility. In partnership with the academic community, the Division seeks to measurably impact success by effectively recruiting, retaining, and graduating students. Serving as an impartial and independent party, the Student Experience Coordinator contributes to this mission through confidentiality, conflict resolution, and referrals to formal grievance processes when necessary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will work closely with the student, faculty and staff at the West River Health Science Center on the campus of BHSU-Rapid City to: Provide comprehensive case management for students experiencing a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to academic challenges, mental and physical health issues, financial difficulties, and family-related matters. Serve as an information and education resource for students, faculty, staff, and other partners. Foster student-serving relationships and partnerships with community organizations and serve as information conduit for students seeking information about community resources. Serve as a Student Conduct Hearing Officer for alleged violations of University and/or SDBOR policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Human Development, Social Work, Education, Counseling or comparable field by start date. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience relevant to job responsibilities. Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Social Work, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Education, Human Development, or comparable field. Experience working in a post-secondary education setting (i.e., College, University, Community College, Tribal College/University, etc.) Familiarity with community resources in Rapid City and the Black Hills region. Experience teaching and/or presenting professional development workshops to audiences including students, faculty, and/or staff. Successful experience developing multi-organizational partnerships. Experience working with individuals and groups representing a wide range of academic, cultural, disability, ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Experience with conflict resolution, impartiality, confidentiality and/or investigative techniques. Relational Communication Skills (e.g., mediation, problem-solving, mentorship, advising, and/or motivation)
