We are seeking a relationship-focused, organized, and creative Donor Relations Manager to help strengthen those connections and create meaningful experiences that inspire continued support for Driscoll Children's Hospital.
Responsibilities:
As the Donor Relations Manager, you will lead donor stewardship and engagement efforts while overseeing fundraising events and donor communications throughout the year.
Responsibilities include:
Building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters Ensuring donors are thanked appropriately and kept informed on the impact of their gifts Increasing donor retention through meaningful stewardship and engagement Managing donor communications including thank-you letters, impact reports, birthday/sympathy/holiday cards, and recognition materials Planning donor appreciation activities and overseeing fundraising events Supervising the Special Events Coordinator, Development Intern, and volunteers supporting events and donor engagement Partnering with hospital leadership, Marketing/Communications, and various departments to coordinate donor-related messaging and activities Tracking donor communications, event logistics, and follow-up activities Traveling to Driscoll locations for large- and small-scale events and donor activities Occasionally working evenings and weekends for donor meetings and community events
Signature Events You'll Oversee:
This role plays an important part in coordinating and supporting several beloved community fundraising events in Corpus Christi and Rio Grande Valley (RGV) areas, including: Fiesta de los Niños Singer Songwriter Showcase South Texas Cattlemen's Roundup Planned large-scale fundraiser in 2027 in the RGV Smaller events such as ribbon cuttings, donor appreciation events, and hospital celebrations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two years of professional experience in fundraising, event planning, public relations, marketing, or communications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT and Microsoft Excel Prior non-profit, hospital, or higher education experience transferable to donor relations Experience drafting personalized communications on behalf of leadership Languages Until all children are well. Driscoll Children's Hospital and its specialty centers, urgent care centers, and after-hours facility serve a vast area covering 31 South Texas counties.
