Job Description
Scope :
To greet guests of the USS Lexington Museum and assist with their purchases in the Ship Store. Provide excellent customer service and maintain accurate transactions of your assigned register.Responsibilities :
Coordinates with Store Manager to maximize the productivity of daily store clerk duties Monitors store procedures to assure the security of the inventory and daily sales receipts Must possess excellent customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction Assigned a register for the day, and check that the register area is restocked with register, journal, and credit card paper Clerk's duties: Restocking Shelves with Merchandise Cleaning Windows Cleaning Displays Dusting Shelves Ensure pricing, displaying, and storing of merchandise is updated. Operates register and dog tag machine Is knowledgeable about the museum and ship store policies in order to answer visitor inquiries Knows and follows established museum cashier procedures Signing for merchandise when delivered by freight carriers Be knowledgeable of fire alarm procedures Be knowledgeable of announcement protocols Performs other duties as assignedPhysical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; use continuous hand, arm and finger manipulation. Environment requires climbing steep stairwells, so comfortable clothing and shoes with non-skid soles are recommended. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25-50 pounds. The vision requirements include clear concise, close/distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate. Exposure to chemical agents, painting supplies and fumes.
