Join Our Team We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Director of Admissions and Marketing to lead the sales and marketing efforts for our Assisted Living community. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, connecting with seniors and their families, developing community partnerships, and turning prospective residents into new members of our community. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategies that increase awareness of the community, generate qualified leads, convert inquiries into move-ins, and achieve established occupancy and revenue goals. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Occupancy
  • Lead the community's sales efforts to achieve and maintain established occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial inquiry through tour, follow-up, decision-making, and move-in.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, online, walk-in, and referral inquiries.
  • Conduct personalized tours for prospective residents and their families.
  • Build meaningful relationships with prospects and families while helping them understand their senior living options.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects throughout the decision-making process.
  • Develop strategies to convert leads into tours, deposits, and move-ins.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospective residents.
  • Coordinate closely with the Executive Director and community leadership team regarding prospective residents and upcoming move-ins. Business Development & Referral Relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong professional referral relationships throughout the local community.
  • Conduct regular outside sales and business-development activities.
  • Build relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, home health agencies, hospice organizations, senior organizations, social workers, discharge planners, elder-care professionals, and other referral partners.
  • Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategies to increase professional referrals.
  • Represent the community at networking events, professional organizations, senior-focused events, and community functions.
  • Schedule and conduct professional presentations, meetings, lunches, tours, and other relationship-building activities. Marketing & Community Outreach
  • Develop and execute an annual and ongoing sales and marketing plan designed to increase community awareness and occupancy.
  • Plan and coordinate events that generate prospective resident and professional referral leads.
  • Work with community leadership to develop open houses, educational programs, networking events, and resident/family events.
  • Coordinate advertising, digital marketing, social media, print materials, promotional campaigns, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Ensure the community's brand, messaging, and marketing materials accurately represent the resident experience.
  • Monitor local competitors, pricing, services, promotions, occupancy trends, and market conditions.
  • Conduct periodic competitive market analyses and recommend strategies based on findings. CRM, Reporting & Performance
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect and referral information in the community's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Track inquiries, tours, follow-up activities, deposits, move-ins, referral sources, and lost leads.
  • Monitor key sales metrics, including: o New leads o Qualified leads o Tours o Tour-to-deposit conversion o Deposit-to-move-in conversion o Referral activity o Move-ins and move-outs o Occupancy
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to the Executive Director and leadership team.
  • Analyze sales results and adjust strategies when goals are not being achieved.
  • Manage sales and marketing expenses within the approved budget. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful sales and/or marketing experience , preferably in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living, senior living, healthcare, home health, hospice, skilled nursing, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales, census, occupancy, or revenue goals.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills.
  • Experience developing professional referral networks.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls, conducting outside sales visits, networking, and asking for the sale.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business technology.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outreach and business-development activities.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for tours, networking events, and community events.
