Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Admissions Assistant to join our dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the admissions process by providing exceptional service to prospective residents and their families. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively to ensure a smooth admissions experience. Responsibilities Welcoming visitors, answering initial inquiries, and scheduling facility tours. Collecting and verifying insurance information and necessary forms. Providing comprehensive information about the nursing home's services, amenities, and living arrangements. Explaining admission criteria, policies, and costs to potential residents and families. Assisting with accurate data entry and ensuring all required forms are properly filled out. Checking eligibility and coverage for potential residents. Organizing and updating admission files with relevant medical information. Responding to calls and emails from potential residents and families regarding admission questions. Adhering to all state and federal regulations regarding nursing home admissions. Answering phones. Other duties as assigned. Experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with families and potential residents. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established procedures. Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices. Customer service experience with a focus on providing a positive experience. Proficiency with computer systems for data entry and record keeping. Pay is based off of experience ranging from $18 to $20 an hour. This is a full-time position in a skilled nursing facility, apply only if you have experience. Serious applicants only.
