Director of Admissions Riverview on the Appomattox Health & Rehab Center - HOPEWELL, VA 23860 Apply Overview Salary Range $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary Position Type Full Time Apply Description Admissions Director Riverview on the Appomattox Health & Rehab is seeking a confident, organized, and relationship-focused Admissions Director to lead our admissions and census-development efforts.
Job Summary:
The Admissions Director is responsible for the overall development, coordination and implementation of all admission management and census development. This is a highly visible role, where you will connect prospective residents and families with compassionate care, strengthening referral partnerships, and coordinate a smooth, welcoming admissions experience.
Essential Functions:
Networks, advertises, and develops targets for future referral sources Understands and implements standards, policies, and procedures for the admission process Administers and processes all daily information for census Facilitates pre-admission review process Collects information and funds to secure admissions and bed holds Develops meaningful relationships with referral sources and with the community Responds to public and media inquiries in a professional manner according to company policy Manages multiple assignments in highly pressured situations, meets tight deadlines and schedules. Coordinates education for community and referral sources regarding services offered by Riverview on the Appomattox Health & Rehab Trains staff in developing plans to promote census and exhibit exceptional customer service Conducts and develops Riverview on the Appomattox Health & Rehab staff to provide exceptional service including telephone etiquette, tours, and interviews Implements customer satisfaction surveys with families and directs surveys to corporate office Maintains census development by tracking status of occupancy and targeting census mix Coordinates admissions by researching inquiries and tours, and coordinates with disciplines at Riverview on the Appomattox Health & Rehab Collects data to be processed and finalized during the admission process Notifies all staff of scheduled admissions, LOA, bed hold and discharges Conducts tours of Riverview on the Appomattox Health & Rehab for prospective residents and their families. Manages department budget, ensures adequate departmental equipment and supplies Attends Department Head meetings and carries out all decisions and plans made. Attends all required in-services. Designs and implements an admission process which meets the federal, state and company guidelines, including completion of all required documentation, family and/or resident interviews, communication with referred agencies, Administrator, Director of Nursing and/or Assistant Director of Nursing regarding the feasibility of admissions and appropriate placement.
