This role is vital in creating a vibrant, engaging, and safe environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and creatively. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in education administration, higher education teaching, and experience working directly with students. As a School Age Director, you will inspire staff, foster positive relationships with families, and ensure the delivery of high-quality programs that meet developmental needs and educational standards. Duties Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive school age programs that promote learning, creativity, and social development. Lead and supervise program staff, providing mentorship, training, and ongoing support to ensure excellent service delivery. Coordinate curriculum planning to align with educational best practices and developmental milestones for school-aged children. Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies to ensure a secure environment for all participants. Build strong relationships with families by communicating program goals, progress updates, and addressing concerns proactively. Manage program budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to maximize program quality and sustainability. Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance program offerings and community engagement. Get enrollment to 50% of capacity and maintain Must have an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Or Bachelor Degree or higher preferably in a related field. In addition to the ABOVE requirements positions will need the following training if it is noted above: Introductory to the childcare profession, skills & strategies, strengthening families through Early care & Education training, & WMELS/SACF training
EVERYONE MUST HAVE CPR/FIRST AID, AHT & SBS CERTIFICATION, MANDATED REPORTER EVERY TWO YEARS, & YEARLY CONTINUING EDUCATION
Qualifications Higher education teaching experience or background in education administration is highly desirable. Must be a level 12 on WI Registry Need to be available split shift 6:15am-9:15am & 2pm-6:30pm Monday thru Friday during the school year (September-June); Summer hours 6:15am-3:15pm or 8:30am-6:30pm Proven experience working with students in educational or childcare settings. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively and foster teamwork. Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple programs simultaneously. Knowledge of licensing requirements for school age programs and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to engage children, families, staff, and community partners confidently.
