Summary of Job Duties:

The BUS/IT department at UAPTC is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in part-time teaching opportunities in accounting. The position may require possible on-campus teaching responsibilities at multiple campuses and may include live streaming, webinar, and online courses. Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

General Responsibilities:

The position requires teaching at the undergraduate level per semester. Other responsibilities of this position include:

• Development of course materials, assignments and assessment of student learning outcomes within the structure of the course
• Management of blackboard LMS and online learning environments
• Management of accurate student records and timely submission of syllabuses, roster certifications, and grades.
• Commitment to follow institutional and department policies regarding all course and college procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues and staff, including timely communication replies
• Ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technologies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in accounting or related field or a graduate degree with 18 graduate hours in accounting or related field is required. Availability to teach day, evening, or online classes. Possess the competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring necessary skills, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings. Possess a thorough knowledge of general business, business law, accounting, or economics field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
