Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and participate in Professional Development, in accordance with school designated hours, for the purpose of enriching their own expertise in the subject area they currently teach. 2. Participate in all Staff Meetings and all mandated trainings and complete the trainings in a timely manner. 3. Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of state learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth in the Charter Petition and CCSS. 4. Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis. 5. Provide direct and indirect instruction. 6. Long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students. 7. Prepare students adequately for all required assessments. 8. Evaluate student's progress. 9. Prepare at least quarterly individual student progress reports for parents. 10. Provide an inviting, exciting, innovative learning environment. 11. Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management. 12. Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff. 13. Serve as an advisor to students, including organizing advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioral progress, as assigned. 14. Utilize computers and other technological classroom support equipment in student instruction. 15. Respond positively to administrative suggestions and direction in the performance of all duties, assignments and other tasks. 16.
