Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate instructional design, educational technology, and differentiated instruction techniques to accommodate various learning styles. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management, behavior management strategies, and proactive student engagement. Incorporate advanced skills such as AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, copy editing, proofreading, creative writing, and journalism into daily lessons to enhance students' writing and research abilities. Utilize IT-integrated lessons and learning technology tools to create interactive lessons that promote active learning and digital literacy. Mentor students in literacy education, standardized testing preparation, academic advising, and higher education planning. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment design, and school initiatives. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior management plans, and academic achievements. Support students' social-emotional development by understanding diverse learning needs including special education considerations and working with students with different learning styles. Engage in ongoing professional development related to classroom management, educational compliance, research-based teaching practices, library services integration, and educational administration. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, English Literature, Theology or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience teaching middle school or high school students in English Language Arts or social sciences within a classroom setting. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, standardized testing strategies, and educational technology integration. Familiarity with AP (Advanced Placement) programs, Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, copy editing techniques, journalism principles, creative writing pedagogy, and linguistics fundamentals. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parent engagement. Experience working with teenagers in private school environments or similar settings is highly desirable. Skills in classroom management, behavior management strategies, lesson planning, research methodologies, tutoring techniques, and organizational skills are essential. Knowledge of educational compliance regulations along with experience implementing IT-integrated lessons is preferred.
