Job Summary Silver Lake Academy for Health Sciences is seeking a part-time High School History Teacher to teach World History to 9th-grade students. This is a small-classroom teaching position beginning with the 2027-2028 school year, with the opportunity to expand to teaching U.S. History as the Academy grows. The instructor will teach approximately 5 hours per week , with an additional 1 paid hour per week for lesson planning, preparation, and grading . Responsibilities Teach World History in an engaging, age-appropriate manner. Prepare lessons and classroom activities. Evaluate student work and monitor academic progress. Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in History, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field. Strong knowledge of World History. Ability to communicate effectively with high school students. Previous teaching or instructional experience preferred. Applicants who are also qualified and interested in teaching English may have opportunities to teach additional courses at the Academy.
