High School Bible Teacher Lighthouse Christian Academy - 3.8 Bloomington, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time 11 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Qualifications Teaching religious studies Bachelor's degree Theology Classroom Teaching Student engagement classroom management Full Job Description Job Overview The Part-Time Bible Teacher serves as both an educator and spiritual mentor, teaching students from a distinctly biblical worldview while helping them grow in their knowledge and application of Scripture and their relationship with Jesus Christ. This individual will faithfully teach the approved Bible curriculum, foster meaningful classroom discussions, and model Christlike character in both word and action. This is a one-year appointment for the 2026-2027 school year with the potential for continued employment based on future staffing needs, performance, and organizational structure. Essential Responsibilities Teach assigned Bible courses using Lighthouse Christian Academy's approved curriculum. Present biblical truth in a manner consistent with LCA's Statement of Faith. Foster a classroom environment that encourages spiritual growth, thoughtful discussion, and academic excellence. Integrate biblical worldview into instruction and student interactions. Prepare lessons, assessments, and instructional materials. Maintain timely grading, classroom records, and communication with students and families. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, chapels, and other school activities as appropriate. Model Christlike character and support the mission and vision of Lighthouse Christian Academy. Requirements All candidates should demonstrate both spiritual maturity and the ability to effectively teach God's Word.
