Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract role as a General Education Teacher, serving elementary students in an engaging and supportive environment near South Bend, IN. Your expertise in general elementary subjects, as well as specialties like Math, Science, and Social Studies, will make a significant impact on students' academic and personal growth. This opportunity runs full-time from August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Responsibilities:
Deliver dynamic, age-appropriate instruction in elementary core subjects, including Math, Science, and Social Studies Develop engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning Differentiate classroom activities and assessments to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student progress Participate in school meetings, professional development, and special events as assigned Monitor and document student growth, providing timely feedback and intervention where needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field Valid teaching license for general education in Indiana (or eligibility to obtain) Classroom experience teaching at the elementary level (Math, Science, or Social Studies focus preferred) Strong communication skills and passion for student-centered learning Ability to create engaging, supportive learning environments for students of various backgrounds
