Job Summary Gateway is currently seeking an adjunct instructor to teach an in-person dual credit HIS 109, History of the US Since 1865 course for the Fall 2026 semester. Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45am at the Urban Metro campus in Covington, KY from 8/17/26-12/13/26
Job Duties:
Provide instruction and familiarize students within the specific areas of study. Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in their respective field(s). Keep abreast of changes in their field and help keep the programs updated. Technical positions provide students with the background, knowledge, and basic skills needed to function effectively on the job. Preferred candidates would be able to teach at various levels to help support their programs. Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in their discipline or field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree and at least 18 graduate hours in History from a regionally accredited institution. Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred. Experience working at the community college level is preferred.

Ability to communicate clearly verbally and, in writing. Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).
