Natural Sciences - Dept. Geology, Geography, & Sustainability Job Summary An instructor is needed to teach introductory geology classes (and possibly physical geography) primarily in person on the Jefferson Community and Technical College Downtown campus in Louisville, Kentucky during the day. The position is open for the spring semester 2027. Online instruction may be needed for 2027-2028 as well.
Job Duties:
Previous teaching experience in the field is a plus, experience with BlackBoard Ultra, good communication skills, positive teaching evaluations, and incorporating diverse perspectives into teaching. JCTC offers training in these areas, if needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
MS degree in Geology.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD and 3 years of teaching experience in introductory geology courses (such as: environmental geology, oceanography, geology of national parks, physical geography, sustainability, dinosaurs and disasters, etc.).
