Job Description

Torah Academy, a growing private K-8 school serving the Orthodox Jewish community for over 80 years, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position will teach 7th and 8th grade Social Studies, covering World Geography, U.S. History, and Civics with a focus on critical thinking, engagement, and active citizenship. Ideal candidates will bring energy, creativity, and a student-centered approach to the classroom. Position Part-time (0.5 FTE 12:15 - 4:15) Middle School Social Studies (7th and 8th grade) 4 sections. OR Full-time (Same Social Studies Sections - Additional duties TBD) Why Torah Academy?

Extended Breaks:
Enjoy three long breaks throughout the school year (6-9 days each: two holiday breaks, one mid-winter break)
Early Fridays:
Early dismissals at 2:15 or 1:30 p.m. most of the year

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or related field Valid teaching license or equivalent experience (preferred) Experience with middle school learners and a passion for social studies content Ability to integrate geography, history, and civics in relevant, age-appropriate ways Strong classroom management and communication skills Role Responsibilities As part of our team, teachers will: Curate materials and suggest resources for engaging lessons Implement formal and summative assessments to monitor student growth Maintain attendance, grades, and parent communications in a timely manner Embrace Torah Academy's mission, respecting diverse cultural perspectives Qualifications MN Teacher Licensure or Out-of-State License - Current or expired or Degree in a related field Interested?
