Visiting Instructor (Economics) - Part Time Business and Economics Description Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a one course sabbatical replacement position of Visiting Instructor (or Visiting Assistant Professor with appropriate qualifications) in the Department of Business and Economics, starting January 2027. Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States. Gustavus will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Part-Time; $5,000 per 4-credit course; Exempt (Salaried); In-Person Instruction. Prerequisites Required Qualifications Master's degree in economics or a related field (PhD or ABD preferred) Preferred Qualifications Evidence of effectiveness in teaching Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate students Demonstrated commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and identities Position Overview Teach 1 course section in the 2027 spring semester. The teaching responsibility will be one upper-level economics elective, drawn from departmental needs and the candidate's expertise, with particular interest in health economics.
