Summary:
Under the general supervision of the School Director, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. (Masters preferred) New Jersey Certification K-6 with subject matter specialization: Social Studies. Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary Demonstrate working knowledge of the use of various technological software and equipment for tasks such as, but not limited to, word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual presentations, and telecommunications. Understand the requirement to maintain confidentiality concerning charter school-related matters. Knowledge of child growth and development, individual differences in ability, personality and interests and learning/motivational techniques. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles. Knowledge of grade specific school curriculum and concepts, including all subject matters taught. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work; parents, students and faculty etc. Prior to employment, the following must be addressed: Required to complete a criminal history background check to prove that the individual has not been convicted of a crime or a disorderly person's offense. Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the School Director and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Experience:
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred. Qualifications Profile NJ Certification (K

Travel Requirements:
