Job Description

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Anticipated Social Studies Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for aspiring educators to gain classroom experience while inspiring students to explore the rich tapestry of history, geography, civics, and social sciences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and a desire to develop engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking and cultural awareness. This paid position provides valuable experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and classroom management within a vibrant learning environment. Responsibilities Assist in delivering engaging social studies lessons aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives Support the development of instructional materials that incorporate innovative learning technology and creative writing techniques Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and execute effective lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom organization skills Participate in professional development opportunities focused on literacy education, standardized testing, and educational best practices Provide mentorship and support to students through tutoring sessions and academic advising Assist in assessing student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including proofreading and research activities Qualifications Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field with relevant classroom experience preferred Strong written communication skills with proficiency in AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and copy editing techniques Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and learning technology tools Experience working with students across various age groups, including special education or private school settings is a plus Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative education methods is desirable Passion for teaching social studies topics such as history, civics, geography, linguistics, or related disciplines Join us in shaping the next generation of informed citizens! Pay:
$42,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
