Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive religion curricula aligned with educational standards and religious principles Design engaging lesson plans incorporating instructional design, learning technology, and diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles Deliver compelling instruction to students across middle and high school levels, utilizing classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Incorporate IT-integrated lessons to enhance digital literacy and interactive learning experiences Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth Mentor students academically and socially, fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and beliefs Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, educational compliance, and extracurricular activities such as religious clubs or community service projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Religious Studies, Theology or related field; advanced degrees preferred Proven experience teaching religion or social sciences at middle or high school levels; private school experience is a plus Strong knowledge of curriculum development, AP style writing, Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, and copy editing techniques Skilled in classroom management, behavior management, instructional design, and learning technology integration Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, literacy education, special education accommodations, and educational regulation compliance Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students effectively and collaborate with staff Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, research activities, academic advising, and educational administration Experience working with teenagers from diverse backgrounds; adaptability to different learning styles is essential Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication to faith-based education empowers students to thrive academically and spiritually.
