MHS is seeking a dynamic High School Social Studies Teacher to prepare and deliver high quality and engaging instruction, so students achieve at or above grade level, despite any prior adverse experiences. MHS teachers deliver lessons and assessments that differentiate instruction, while utilizing data to analyze outcomes and drive achievement to ensure student success. They collaborate to refine and adapt the curriculum to evolve with emerging needs, so students are well prepared for success in their ongoing education and in future careers. MHS Teachers are deeply committed to remediating students to perform well, which requires extensive cross-functional collaboration & a whole child approach to student development. MHS Teachers are required to schedule and complete additional duties to their teaching schedules. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education. Certification in Social Studies required Experience teaching high school students using a project-based, literacy rich approach and successfully differentiating instruction Exceptional skills in building student relationships & classroom management required Demonstrated success collaborating in high performing multi-disciplinary teams Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills Coaching or other extracurricular experience preferred Candidates must be "all in" and eager to engage with students beyond the classroom and school day Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
