Position Information Position Title Instructor, History of Iberian Empires Requisition Number F00544P Job Description The Department of History at Weber State University invites applications for a one-year Instructor in the history of Iberian Empires beginning Fall 2027. Specialization is open, but candidates should be trained in the history of the Spanish and/or Portuguese Empires in the Americas and the Caribbean, Asia, or Africa. Job Duties The teaching load is four courses per semester. The successful candidate is required to teach the introductory World History and Latin American surveys, as well as other upper-level courses in their area of specialization. Required Qualifications PhD in History is required prior to appointment. ABD candidates may apply; however, the PhD must be in hand by July 1, 2027 .
