Indigenous Lenses:

Pre-Contact to the Present Course Description Focuses on the points of cultural intersections between Indigenous American peoples and non-Indigenous populations in the construction and establishment of the nation, from pre-contact to the present day, with a special emphasis on Indigenous sources in order to examine American History through Indigenous perspectives. Takes a chronological approach while also critically examining themes that have shaped American History. Minimum qualifications A master's degree or equivalent in American Indian Studies or related discipline Per the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment. Preferred qualifications Higher Education teaching experience preferred. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service. Salary commensurate with degree level and experience:
