Its faculty represent a wide range of specializations in United States and European history, as well as the history of societies in Africa, East Asia, Canada, Latin America, and the Middle East. History students acquire skills in collecting, synthesizing, and evaluating information from diverse sources, as well as presenting it in support of a coherent interpretation of the past. The unique combination of content knowledge and skills represented in the discipline of history allows students to develop a sophisticated understanding of human nature and human potential. Essential Duties The Department of History seeks highly qualified and committed part time faculty members to teach lower division courses for the Fall 2026 semester. Course offerings may include US history, European history and/or world history.

Required Qualifications Master's degree in a related field required. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. preferred. Teaching experience preferred.
