The Department of History at Michigan State University invites applications for a pool of qualified fixed-term Assistant Professors to teach one or more undergraduate or graduate-level courses per semester. These positions could be part-time or full time, and vary by semester, depending on the needs of the Department. It is possible that no positions are needed in some semesters. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the Department has immediate needs and positions would begin as early as January 1, 2027. Courses would be offered during the regular academic year (AY) when available. Desired Qualifications Experience teaching undergraduate courses of varying enrollment sizes. Experience supervising or working with teaching assistants.
