Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY, is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Onondaga County is our sponsor. We offer two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. The Humanities Department at Onondaga Community College is currently inviting applications from qualified applicants to teach Elementary and Intermediate Spanish.Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should demonstrate fluent and accurate command of Spanish as well as knowledge of culture and language pedagogy. Master's degree in Spanish or a Master's degree from an accredited university, college or foreign equivalency in a related field with 18 credits in Spanish.For native speakers:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college or foreign equivalency in Spanish or a related field with 18 credits in Spanish. Preference will be given to those with experience teaching at a community college.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.Additional Information:
Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
