Salary:
$9,669.00 per course The Department of Religion at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach REL 16 Introduction to Islam in the spring of 2027. Introduction to Islam is a survey course that introduces students to Islam in its many facets. Topics may include Pre-Islamic Arabia, the Prophet, the Qur'an, the prophetic traditions, tradition and customs, law, theology, major denominations, philosophy, and mysticism. We are seeking candidates with college-level teaching experience; a Ph.D. or ABD candidate status in Religion is preferred, but those with PhDs in related fields are also encouraged to apply.
