What they do
A Law Professor teaches national and regional legislative ideas and truths, as well as the methods used in practicing various forms of law to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field. In some cases, law professors will perform legal services.

Job Description
- Law students who are graduating from their JD program during the 2026-27 academic year.
- Admission to the New York State Bar within the Fellow's first year is a condition of continued employment. Therefore, Fellows must be registered to complete the following exams/courses:
- Take the Unified Bar Exam (UBE) offered in either February 2027 or July 2027.
- Take the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) offered in either March 2027 or August 2027.
- To register for the New York Law Exam (NYLE), you must complete all segments of the New York Law Course (NYLC) at least 30 days before the date of the next NYLE.
- Take the NYLE at one of the times offered in 2026 or by September 2027 at the latest.
