A Law Professor teaches national and regional legislative ideas and truths, as well as the methods used in practicing various forms of law to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field. In some cases, law professors will perform legal services.

Job Summary The adjunct faculty member will work with full-time faculty, under general supervision of the Associate Dean, in program and class-related duties such as classroom (including online) instruction, content design and delivery, and student evaluation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities Effectively prepare and teach classes to facilitate student learning. Assess and maintain records of student performance and attendance. Distribute, and adhere to current course outlines. Demonstrate a depth of understanding in the field of Motorcycle Rider Education. Attend required training and department meetings, as invited. Demonstrate and support professional commitment to division, school, and college mission and values. Maintain a supportive attitude toward work, students, colleagues, and administration. Support college policies. Become familiar with, and abide by, all college policies with immediate priority given to those policies that govern interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments throughout the organization. Maintain professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Provides appropriate and timely feedback for all assignments. Returns graded assignments in a timely fashion per department standards. Maintains student attendance records (for Financial Aid purposes) and grades. Conducts a variety of appropriate evaluations of student performance. Informs students of progress to date periodically and assigns and submits grades by published deadlines. Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment. Follows and abides by the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy. Handles/responds to student concerns/complaints and responds to student communications and inquiries promptly (generally within 1-2 days). Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College procedure. Completes all required employee trainings. Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines. Administer ADA accommodations as needed. Knowledge Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, culture, ethnic background, and abilities, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities. Minimum qualifications Must be Motorcycle Safety Foundation Certified Rider coaches. Certified by the State of Utah. Have 5 years of legal endorsed motorcycle riders license. Clean driving record.
