Job Description
Description Connect People to Knowledge. Inspire Discovery. Empower Student Success. Mohave College is seeking an engaging, resourceful, and student-centered Librarian to join our Bullhead City Campus and help create a library experience where curiosity is encouraged, information is accessible, and every student feels supported in their academic journey. Today's college library is about far more than books. It is a dynamic learning environment where students develop research skills, discover credible information, navigate digital resources, and gain the confidence to become independent lifelong learners. As our Bullhead City Librarian, you will be at the heart of that experience. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Instruction, the Librarian will analyze, plan, coordinate, obtain, and maintain library services and resources that meet the evolving needs of our students, faculty, and community. You will use your expertise in research techniques, information resources, library programs, databases, and emerging technologies to connect patrons with the information they need—whether that means guiding a student through their first college research project or collaborating with faculty to strengthen instructional resources. We are looking for someone who is approachable, knowledgeable, innovative, and genuinely excited about helping others succeed. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with students, understands that research can sometimes feel overwhelming, and has a talent for making information accessible and understandable. You are equally comfortable providing one-on-one assistance, evaluating resources, utilizing technology, developing library services, and identifying new ways to engage students in learning. You'll thrive in this position if you are a curious problem-solver and collaborative partner who can assess needs, think critically, and adapt library resources and services to support a changing academic environment. You recognize that exceptional library service begins with listening, connecting, and meeting people where they are. If you believe libraries have the power to open doors, spark curiosity, build confidence, and transform learning, we invite you to bring your expertise and passion to Mohave College. Join us at the Bullhead City Campus and help make the library a place where questions lead to discovery, information becomes opportunity, and students find the resources—and the confidence—to succeed. What We'll Love About You You are student-centered and approachable, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, seeking assistance, and exploring new ideas. You have a passion for research, information literacy, and connecting people with the right resources to help them succeed. You are a curious and resourceful problem-solver who enjoys digging into questions and finding credible, relevant information. You understand that today's library extends far beyond books and are comfortable navigating digital resources, databases, research tools, and emerging technologies. You have a talent for making research and information feel accessible—even for students who may be intimidated or unsure of where to begin. You are organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to coordinate library resources, services, programs, and competing priorities effectively. You enjoy assessing needs and finding creative ways to improve library services and better support students and faculty. You are a collaborative partner who enjoys working with faculty, staff, and other departments to strengthen teaching, learning, and student success. You communicate clearly and professionally with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and levels of research experience. You embrace change and continuous learning, staying current with evolving library practices, information resources, and technology. You bring warmth and engagement to the library and enjoy helping make it an inviting, active part of campus life. Most importantly, you believe access to information can build confidence, create opportunity, and transform a student's educational experience. What You'll Love About Us We create the future .
