Job Description
Required Skills:
Master's degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited institution, a degree in a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as an acquisitions, serials, e-resources, or reference librarian Knowledge of the process of acquiring library electronic resources such as data services, online news, e-journal aggregators, or e-books Ability to manage time effectively while working on multiple projects Strong verbal and written communication skills to build relationships with internal customers, process partners, and external vendors Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret licenses to support stakeholders' understanding of terms and conditions Strong attention to detail needed to document the acquisitions process Skill preferences: Experience with acquisitions for library electronic resources such as data services, online news, e-journal aggregators, or e-books Subject matter knowledge of business data resources (such as economics, finance, banking, or accounting subscription services) is preferred Basic knowledge of the federal government contracting process is helpful but not required Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.
