Permanent Full Time/Part Time:
Full Time Open Until Filled. $2,215.68 to $2,437.25 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Library Administration/Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and special events as needed. Performs skilled administrative library work directing and coordinating library acquisitions, cataloging, and technical services functions. Work includes supervising assigned staff; overseeing cataloging, ordering, invoicing, and processing of library materials within the Library's Integrated Library System (ILS); ensuring the accuracy and integrity of bibliographic records; coordinating technical services operations; monitoring inventory and statistical reporting; and providing technical expertise related to library acquisitions and cataloging.
REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Library Science and Information Systems, or a closely related field, PLUS one (1) year of experience cataloging and/or copy-cataloging and processing library materials, including supervisory experience. Must have experience with Integrated Library Systems (ILS). Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
