As Cerebral Staffing , we are seeking a detail-oriented Digital Librarian to join our team supporting our client, John Deere . Whether you are a Library Science graduate student, a seasoned information management professional, or a digital asset specialist looking for a long-term role, this is an exceptional opportunity to shape content discoverability across enterprise platforms. Digital Librarian - John Deere (Johnston, IA / Quad Cities / Chicago, IL) This is a multi-year 2+ year contract opportunity paying up to $35/hr , including 1 week of PTO . This position offers flexible office location options, with the ability to sit onsite/hybrid at John Deere Financial (Johnston, IA) , the Quad Cities offices (Moline, IL / Davenport, IA) , or the Chicago, IL office . In this role, you will oversee metadata standards, taxonomy structures, asset governance, and search optimization across enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Media Asset Management (MAM) platforms.
Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:
Up to $35/hr (W2) .
Location Options:
Onsite/Hybrid out of Johnston, IA (JDF), Quad Cities (Moline, IL/Davenport, IA), or Chicago, IL .
Duration:
2+ Years (Providing long-term contract stability).
Shift & Hours:
1st Shift / Standard Business Hours.

Core Responsibilities Metadata & Taxonomy Governance:
Apply controlled vocabularies and tagging standards across DAM/MAM platforms to maintain high metadata quality and build enterprise taxonomy frameworks.
Digital & Media Asset Management:
Ingest, organize, and audit image, video, audio, and document assets while supporting archival, retention, and duplicate-content cleanup.
Search Optimization & Discoverability:
Analyze user search behavior to optimize collection structures, folder hierarchies, and metadata schemas to increase search relevance.
User Support & Enablement:
Guide enterprise users on DAM/MAM best practices, author FAQs and training documentation, and assist stakeholders in locating media assets.
Compliance & Usage Rights:
Verify content usage restrictions, ensure compliance with digital governance policies, and support data migration initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Ideal Profile Target Backgrounds:
Master of Library Science (MLS/MLIS) students or graduates, retired information professionals, or digital content specialists with a strong background in information architecture and asset governance.
Core Competencies:
Expertise in metadata management, taxonomy design, DAM/MAM system workflows, and rights management.
Software Proficiency:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, digital content management tools, and emerging AI technologies for content organization.
Communication:
Exceptional organizational, written, and interpersonal skills to deliver training and end-user support.
