Position:
Children's Librarian Status:
Full-time permanent: 40 hours a weekMon-Friday:
9-6pm (possibly varied).Saturday:
11-3pm, first Saturday of the month, rotating scheduleSalary:

Library Director Provides general library services to library users and services specific to the children's area; provides special library services for the children's area such as but not limited to, weekly story time including crafts, and other programs that enhance the lives and promote literacy to young library users.Responsibilities:
- Provide library services to Richland County patrons.
- Responsible for planning and implementing children's programming.
- Will work on community outreach geared towards children's area age group.
- Responsible for maintaining children's area, including but not limited to shelfing, books display, keeping area organized and visually appealing.
- Will coordinate Reading Readiness tubs.
- Will assist with social media
- Will help with day-to-day library duties in all areas. Experience & Qualifications
- Customer service experience.
- Comfortable working with children & the public.
- Computer, electronic devices & other technology experience.
- Comfortable with social media, apps & other online tools.
- Organized, punctual, self-motivated, flexible, team oriented, time management
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of children's literature is helpful but not required.
Pay:
