Job Description

Library Director, Leach Library (Londonderry, NH)
The Leach Library Board of Trustees is seeking a new Director for its busy, mid-sized library in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The Library Director reports to the Boards of Trustees and works with a management team to facilitate, for example, personnel supervision, collection development, and programming for all ages.
Londonderry is renowned for its excellent school system, proximity to a range of recreational areas, and for its warm and friendly community. Serving a population of more than 27,000, the library has an annual budget of over $1.6 million.
The job of Library Director is a full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt position with a hiring range of $95,035.20-$105,000, commensurate with experience, and includes excellent benefits outlined in the Leach Library Personnel Policy. This is an in-person position.
Qualifications
Master's Degree, MLS, or MLIS preferred from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school, plus five years experience with at least three years supervisory/management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential skills include excellent internal and external communication that inspires the community and motivates the dedicated staff.
